Game results in Mississauga tonight. Burlington Force 2 - 1 Mississauga ....

Mississauga seemed to struggle in the first half but pressing forward in the second half.

Burlington Force played a very strong first half with alot of speed up front. Played a strong game overall.

Again, Mississauga was pressing hard in the second half coming in with a goal.

Incredible goal keeping by the Force keeper.

Should be a tight race for the Elite division.

Game Report from Rematch against Welland;

Very even opening of the match. It appeared that Welland made a few changes from the game played on Sunday night. After some good back and forth play in the first half, EMC opened the scoring about 30 minutes into the half. Soon after this goal the Welland team came back at EMC and the EMC goalie had to make a great save to keep Welland from getting back into the game. Second half the play was mostly in the Welland end with the Welland keeper making some great saves. Final score 4-0 EMC.

I didn't get a chance to see any games last night. (previous plans)

I see on the SRSL site that Burlington A tied Brams B, 0-0

Any game report from this game? Was it really that close in play? Were the goalie's standing on their heads and defence that stellar? Was the net not big enough? No goals in a game can mean many things as we all know.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board. I was at the Brams - Burlington A game last night. Well played match by two evenly matched teams. Game could have gone either way. Burlington definitely had their chances in teh first half with the Brams keeper making a couple of great saves. Brams then settled down and actually held their own. Second half saw Brams have two great opportunities with the Burlington keeper making a finger tip save on one and a Burlington defender clearing a shot off the line when their keeper was beat.

Refereeing was inconsistent. Brams received an ejection for a very questionable call with about 15 minutes left in the game. They comfortably held off some pressure at the end to preserve the 0-0 tie. Game could have gone either way with both teams evenly matched.

Welcome Footy-Fan! The more the merrier....great report by the way. Game scores without some kind of report does not paint any kind of picture of how hard both teams worked for the result. Well done

Looked at the Elite standings this morning and Burlington Blue Devils' record has been wiped out. Does anyone know if this is something serious or just a standings report glitch. Also, heard a rumour that one of the top players from EMC quit the team. Anyone heard this one?

Seems the glitch has been worked out with the Burlington stats on the SRSL website. As far as I know there has been no changes to the EMC roster since before the summer. Have a nice long weekend everyone.

Interesting week this week soccer 321.

The first two games you have mentioned are the teams that will face off this coming weekend for the cup games in Flamborough although it will be Dixie vs Erin Mills and Miss vs Burlington Force.
This month will be a tight race for all teams as a series of victories will certainly make a difference for most teams.
From what I've seen, Brams should have a stronger month, coming off some injuries....

Game tonight at South Common. Great bunch of supporters on both EM side and Falcons side. Many of the girls have played together at some point in their soccer careers. Game started out very flat...week off maybe? No score at half but give the edge to Falcons first half. Second half Falcons opened the scoring and continued to push forcing EM to make some changes. Falcons scored a second and definitely looked in the drivers seat. EM came back and pushed forward and scored a goal on a deflection off of a defensive player. 2-1. This appeared to shift the momentum and EM continued to push hard and came up with two more to win the game 3-2. Lots of great battles by both teams. Both sides never gave up and pushed eachother hard to the end. Great game girls...slow start but a very exciting finish.

Last night in Elite.
Went out to watch the Burlington B team play Dixie.
I don't think Dixie really came to play.
Burlington B was all over them throughout the entire game. 90 minutes of attack.
It was 4-0 at half.

The game ended 6-0 for Burlington B.
I was a bit disappointed at not seeing better effort from Dixie.
Burlington B had many many more chances to score and the it could have been much worse.

I just checked the schedule for last night, I should have went to watch Burlington A play Oakville after the Burlington B game, Damn.

Does anyone know the score of Burlington A vs Oakville, or Brams vs Welland ?

cheers,

on the SRSL site, it looks like Brams B tied Welland. 0-0
it also shows confirmation of the score for Burlington A vs Oakville B as a 1-1 tie.
