TOURNAMENTS

Postby true aim on Sat May 22, 2010 6:22 am

So far not much has been said about the Umbro. Some of you are already on your way there. We are quite fortunate to have a showcase right in our backyard. Congrats to all the teams that were accepted. I think organizers are encouraged by the strong turnout, and hopefully have more showcase tournaments planned for some of the teams that were not accepted this time around. My daughter has been looking forward to this day, and is quite anxious to show what she can do on the pitch. Best of luck to all the athletes. My hope is that each and every one of you get the opportunity to show what you can do this weekend. :bounce:

Actually I was very impressed with the number of coaches who were there (Iceland 1 & 2), some from big schools down south and quite a few from our own schools. Keep up the good work.

We (Burlington Heat) lost our first game at the PDA this morning 1-0 to a New Jersey team who was solid, but not spectacular. It was a tough game to muster quality scoring chances for both sides. The good news is that there were tonnes of big-name universities in attendance. And despite the result, our feedback was good, and we expect great numbers tomorrow, too. We will do our best to win!
