Okay here we go in ELITE for 2010. From last years performance.
1- Brantford This team was most impressive last year they played much better after the first three games on the season last year.
2- Niagara Has a good chance of finishing up one spot or down a few.
3- Lincoln After a slow start they picked it up and played well down the stretch.
4- Brams Utd Twisters This team has been up and down the last few seasons.
5- Saltfleet Has too pick up some players or they might not do so well.
6- Oakville If they picked up some players from the OYSL team they will do well.
7- Erin Mills It will be hard for them to stay up, Unless they picked up some player from N.Miss.
8- Dixie Usually they have good teams/program but they missed the boat in this 1994 age group.

Good luck to all

Since I took a stab at the CGSL L3 standings, I'll try here too.

Elite
Niagara
Brantford - Results like last night, 2-2 tie to EM, will keep them out of the top spot. Big fan of this squad last year, have yet to see them this year however.
Lincoln
Saltfleet
Oakville
Brams - Bit of a shocking loss to open the season yesterday based on SRSL's updated standings
Erin Mills
Dixie

Premier
Niagara - As long as they didn't drop too many impact players to the Elite side, would think Niagara should be the class of L4 with relative ease.
Brams - Was told Brams was the only good looking side from this group at West Niagara, which they also won.
Welland
North Mississauga
Milton
Burlington
Ancaster
Georgetown

Was told Brantford played in the MIT final on Monday but I also know they kicked off their SRSL season on the same day! Did they actually play those two games on the same day? :o Hoping I just received bad info.

That is extremely shocking. How would that benefit the team in anyway possible? Especially in the heat we experienced on Monday. Not surprised they tied Erin Mills in the game that actually mattered that day. Thanks for the info Soccermom1963. My comments weren't meant as an attack, I am just in shock a coach would actually do that, especially for a tournament that lost its luster a few years back. Wow :o

It was not our coaches fault we had registered for the tournament before the schedule for the league games was out. It would not have seemed fair to the other teams participating in the tournament to drop out of the it last minute. I think it teaches our players about commitment even if it is inconvenient.

Again, not attempting to start an argument here, but the MIT has always had their final played on the holiday Monday and the SRSL almost always starts this week or even a week earlier, with games scheduled on the holiday Monday often. If the MIT was something that was really wanted, why would the coach not have blocked off this week to ensure what happened this past week didn't happen? I'll admit I didn't see either game played but I can only assume this week's result during league play wasn't helped by the fact the team had to play a few hours earlier. Not a good situation in my opinion that could have easily been avoided.

Niagara United is the team to beat in my humble opinion. 2 wins, no goals against after 2. From everything I'm hearing they are sporting a stronger side than last years.

Still very early in the season:This next game will tell how good this Niagara team is.
6808 Brantford BICS A Niagara United Girls A Mon, Jun 07 2010
I am sure after their first game Brantford will be coming to play! and make up the lost 2 points.
This could be a good test for Niagara.
Good luck to all.

Sorry to interrupt the discussion...

Soccer Academy Alliance Canada is hosting 3 teams from Winnipeg, Manitoba over the June 25-27 weekend. We are looking for a U16 girls team to participate in a scrimmage with their U16 girls either the Saturday or Sunday at The Country Day School in King City.

If any coaches are interested in this opportunity, please contact me (via email or PM).

Thank you.

Based on some of the early results, I'm slightly surprised by the scoreline. Glad to see Bics are in form.

Very interesting although it is early , Antony I would have agreed with you before the season started about Niagara falls Elite, I really thought they made a great team but unfortunately it was at the expense of last years first place Premier team,( but that is the way it goes) Don't count out Oakville that has had a great start and are very well coached. I'm thinking it will go right down to the last couple of games and is going to be a very exciting finish.
