U16 Ontario program

I have heard some rumblings from the Ontatio program about some girls quitting. Can anyone confirm this and why would any of the girls who have worked so hard to get there quit???

In no particular order, and by no means complete, but how about:

Because it's no longer fun,
their priorities change,
they don't need the Provincial Program to fulfill their soccer goals
they see that they are in the program "making up numbers"
their parents have got fed up living their life around their daughters soccer schedule
they don't like the coach
they prefer to spend weekends with their new boyfriend

Or the light bulb finally turned on and everyone involved realized the PP is not particularly good.

Then again, when has it EVER been particularly good????

would be interesting to know how many are left from the the U14 National Championship team . Dudley any clue ??

My sources inform me that the number was until very recently 14, but that number has recently dropped to 12.

Plus, the player who won the Golden Boot at that tournament was cut quite early from the U16 program. In spite of being in the midst of an ACL injury recovery.

The team is embarking on a University tour starting April 04, 2010 playing 4 games.

5-2 loss to central michigan and lost 3-0 to wisc. at milwaukee. tired, injured andjust tired

Today's game the U-16 lost 1-0, one more game Monday against Michigan State.
Hopefully no more injuries!

Did not one of the girls cut from the program end up playing in the UEFA u19 qualifiers ?

One of the girls ended up playing with the U17 national team that knocked off the USA last month. Players get moved around I think "cut" is the wrong word to use though.
