Right on BDO I would concur about the ref today, not sure who he was I haven't seen him before however he was as you say equally bad for both sides.

On another note North London is removed from the ranks of the perfect as well as they dropped a 4-3 decision to Pickering this afternoon.

Seems that Pickering is making the early running in the east, while everyone in the west has now dropped points.

Amen BigD.How many kids have to go down with knee injuries or concussions?I am all for shoulder to shoulder challenges and hard tackles. But fouls from behind, head shots and or fouls where there is no attempt to win the ball need to be punished. No warnings,no cards, nothing from the official today.

Result from dreary Ottawa - Nepean holds on for a 3-2 win V Brams. Game was spoiled by the circus antics of yet another appauling Capital official. (It's never a good sign when a referee shows up in a foul temper because he arrived at the field 2 hours early by accident and then insists that the BFP field is unplayable because of a depression around a sprinlker head - clearly he did not want to be there) Not that there was any bias - that would imply there was some consistency in his calls. Girls, coaches and parents were left scratching their heads throughout the entire game, wondering what the calls were for. Seriously Ottawa, you have some excellent referees - start allowing them to official OYSL games and then send a huge apology to the players, coaches and parents from Brams who drove 1000km to be entertained by this buffoon.

Really? And where exactly do they ref, Fantasyland??

Most Ottawa refs I have come across in over 6 years seems to have their whistles firmly stuck up their buttocks.

There is something wrong with the whole ref set up in Ottawa. Time to clean house across the board starting with that joke of a ref association.

Very funny! when I herd who reffed the game in Nepean, I'm pleased I decided to cut the grass and do a few other odd jobs rather than watch the only oysl game in town. That guy has messed up games from u-9 to adult and Im surprised there were no red cards - he usually has a few. Just for the record, there are good refs in Ottawa, were just not very good at picking the right games for them.

Most definitely way to go. Congratulations to Mississauga on their first OYSL win. I still think it will be them and Erin Mills dropping this year but sure those goals and more importantly win will do wonders for their confidence. That was really a game Ajax needed too if there was any hope of staying out of those bottom two spots. Interesting races at both the top and bottom of the standings. Now Cataraqui needs to pull out that first win. Wonder if they can do it against Erin Mills this weekend?

Antony,

Why do you continually come on here and needlessly bash teams? Are you trying to stir up a rather quiet group? If so there are more positive ways to solicit feedback. Try taking the high road for a change.

Bash? Having an opinion of where a team will finish is bashing? I'll have to stop writing congratulations in any cards I send out because I obviously have been using the word wrong my entire life. I really hope everyone can come tied for first this year. I would hate to see anyone's feelings hurt.

Anthony,

Your sarcasm does wear one down after awhile :cyclopsani: . You weren't really complimenting Mississauga as much as criticizing Ajax, Erin Mills and Cataraqui. As for your predictions you may be jumping the gun a bit as Gloucester and Brams are far from safe. I do think the top 3 spots on both sides have likely been decided just jostling for position now.

There was zero sarcasm in my previous post. I certainly was complimenting Mississauga and am not sure how sarcasm could be taken from the sentence in question. Am I the only one that thinks they are in line for relegation based on their poor start? I'd love to hear from someone who thinks otherwise, and why. So again, no sarcasm. And right now my personal opinion is that Erin Mills will also join them. With just a single win in seven games, again, I'm sure many feel the same way I do. Again, no sarcasm, just my true feelings. Fighting to stay out of being relegated, would Ajax not really have needed those points against a Mississauga team that was giving all other teams three points previous to that win? Again, not sure where any sarcasm seeps in there? And how did I insult Cataraqui or Erin Mills in my last statment? Cataraqui's next game is against EM. Pondering if they can win their next game is not sarcastic. If you're bent out of shape or frustrated over that, you better not look at the standings or schedule because I did little else but give a rundown of what is going on in the season right now.
