Last regular season game saw North Mississauga beat Niagara United 2 to 0.
With a goalie change North Miss. posted 3 shut outs and left the team hoping for a
longer season...The coaches have decided to keep the girls practicing and organizing games
to help the girls that want to try out for teams or on scholarships keep in shape and ready.
St. Kitts team doesn't seem to want to verify their last loss to North Miss.....I wonder if that
would put them behind in the final standings?

This really is a case of a little too late at this point.

The game is posted on the OYSL standings and is complete. N. Miss and St. Catharines finished tied on points.

I can say that I care about the season. Did I get ripped off? Maybe but I always brought sponsors in so the cost was minimal. Was I worried about the competition? Yes and my daughter faced tough opponents. Was I worried about scholarships? Yes and I made sure that my daughter had grades good enough to get into a scholastic scholarship which she did. The friendships and training and discipline made all these efforts worthwhile and she will try to make her university team as a walk on. Nothing is easy and she has played with national team players and full ride USA scholarship girls and has made life long associations and gotten a love for the game. She has persevered through it all and I enjoyed the process. My hats off to the ladies who still play the game at whatever age. They made smart choices that so many other girls didn't and I hope that has life long influence. So yes I care and I'm glad that the rest of the summer is now mine.....

Best of luck to the 9 teams in the league if Unionville does not take the crown I will be very surprised.

Well, surprise, surprise! :o

Congratulations to Waterloo for deservedly winning the OYSL title last night with a 1-0 win over Unionville. Well played game; hard fought, a couple of cards and very well refereed! Regardless of what some think, it was a pleasure to watch the soccer played at this level this year and good luck to everyone as they move on from youth soccer.

I have to tell you that I was surprised with the result , I thought that Unionville had the horses , the defence and the scoring touch to take the title. Would like to know if the full team showed up to play if they missed some key pieces I know it would be tough.

There major weakness has always been in the midfield some players got to play major minutes based on who they were not necessarily how good their skill was.

Alot of great players on the Unionville team that I know will be unhappy with the result. I wish them all the best in the future at University.

tfc,

Best I could tell, Unionville wasn't missing any major components - seemed like the team Waterloo played earlier in the year. Excuses will be hard to come by in this one - Waterloo was the better team and deserved the win last night.

Not looking for excuses and I do not want to take anything away from a very good Waterloo team just trying to piece together what went wrong. Unionvilles ability to score seems to be at the heart of their problem. The last time these two teams meet the score was 4-3 for Unionville , this time Unionville failed to score one.
