Considering tht OYSL days are outnumbered, what's the use of all these leagues.New tier 1 league will be formed from clubs and saac academies based on osa criteria that has nothing to do with standings from this year.Teams that might win their spots in OYSL will not be able to play in future tier 1 league if their clubs do not have needed standards to be a tier 1 club.

This summer season should be played without pressure and put development ahead of results, since results will mean nothing in 2013.

Unfortunately for '99 transition from old to new will hit them the most.TFC and SAAC academies already have standards needed for tier 1&2 not sure about many youth clubs.

Why the major concern about leagues this summer? Who knows what next year holds. Keep the competitive juices flowing thank you very much! Pressure is not a dirty word. Part of development is learning how to play under pressure.

First full field games at Hershy, should be interesting; however it will take a few games to get fully adjusted to 11 aside. Can someone shed some light on Brampton youth and Brampton east teams in this age group. Which ones are A and B teams. I see four teams playing at Hershy in different divisions.

Hershey 9v9/11v11Division 1: Brampton East Inferno is the U13A team
Hershey 9v9/11v11Division 2: Brampton East Eagles is the U12B team
Hershey 9v9/11v11Division 2: Brampton Blast White, I believe is Brampton Youths B team. The A team is playing in the OSA league and the C team plays in the Hanger league.
Hershey 6v6: Brampton Blast Blue, I am not sure.

I have confirmed,

Brampton Blast White is the A team but they are not playing at the Hershey. They are only at the OSA

The B team is playing at the Hershey and the C team is playing at the Hershey and The Hanger.

I have been told that the A team is White, the B team is Blue and at the moment the C team is also called White.

Waterloo would have had a good shot in Division I, but five players committed to Regional games in Vaughan on the final weekend. They are a lovely team to watch and with the additions they have made, will compete for Ontario Cup.

In Division II, could be any one of top 3 teams. All are strong, and only 3 points separate them. Brampton East is solid, but have lost to and tied Orangeville, who outplayed them in both games. Caledon stronger on small field than full field during season, but compete. Orangeville would be tied for first had they not dropped a game they should have won to Etobicoke - hard to believe they are an L5 team. Flip a coin on this one. I call it in the following order: Brampton, Orangeville, Caledon.

Hershey was late in posting results yesterday, but they're up now.

In Div 2, Orangeville, Milton, Bram East won, Caledon and Brampton Youth White drew 1-1.

3 Games remain for the final weekend, top 4 round robin, as do the bottom 4, against each other. 4 pts separate the top 3, and with 9 pts up for grabs, it will be a good weekend for the all teams involved.

I'll keep all my comments positive, as they should be -

Bram East - B Team for 2000 age group - have done very well - a well coached possession team. Excellent movement off the ball.

Orangeville - defensively sound team with a strong physical midfield presence.

Caledon - For obvious reasons I'll let others share their opinion.

Bram Youth White - athletically strong, high pressure play over the entire pitch.

Bulldog Coach - I agree with your assessments of the teams 100%. We had great difficulty with all four teams this season for the reasons you cite. I'll add an assessment of your squad based on our experience.

Caledon is extremely strong at the back and in goal, and strong when allowed to attack straight up the gut. Offense goes in high gear if midfielders given time or space as have several strong outside shooters.

Good luck to all four teams - I look forward to seeing some of the games on May 5 and 6.

Oranje - thanks for your kind assessment - we're proud of the boys and their progress over the last 3 years. They're a great group of kids supported by very dedicated parents. A pleasure to coach.

MTone - couldn't agree more. We drew a tough group, but we'll do everything we can to prepare the boys to represent well in front of their home crowd. Somewhat glad we'll get the chance to benchmark ourselves against some of the best teams in Ontario. Shame that more teams don't take the opportunity to expose their squads to some of the top talent in the province - But with 44 teams this year, I believe OC participation is up from last year for this group.

The MIT is quickly approaching, May 19,20th in Mississauga. 23 teams have already registered. There is room for one more. Please register ASAP. It's a great Pre-Season Tournament.
